LAMINATED SAFETY GLASS (TRIPLEX)
Ever since being invented in 1909, the laminated (triplex) glass is considered as safety glass, which compared with common glass has the best characteristics in the person protection against damages. Triplex glass is commonly considered as laminated glass.
Lamination itself does not enhance the glass strength, but when breaking, it remains unbroken, i.e. the glass fragments are kept by the film.
The in-production combination of various types of glasses and films makes it possible to obtain the required functional and decoration effect satisfying all up-to-date requirements. The laminated safety (triplex) glass can have a decoration function together with such properties as shock resistance, power saving, sound insulation, UF-protection, vandal and burglar resistance.
Combination of unique properties (from decoration effect to high strength and safety) provides the maximum wide use of laminated (triplex) glass in architecture, in interior design, motor industry, rail carriage building. Triplex glass is used for making doors and partitions, staircases and floors, for glazing of shopping halls and centers, shop windows, translucent and frontal constructions.
